Ellen’s Story – The Start of DFS

Growing up in a rural town in Michigan, Ellen lived miles apart from neighbors and enjoyed the Midwestern lifestyle in the Great Lakes region. As the daughter of two parents who owned an H&R Block tax office, she began working in the office and helping do tax returns and accounting work as a young teenager. Her family moved to Florida and they opened a tax office on Port Saint Lucie Boulevard in 1980.

Today, with over 40 years of experience, her focus is to provide full-service payroll and accounting services with a primary focus in Human Capital Management offering comprehensive tailored solutions. Partnered with industry-leading software, Apex, DFS is positioned to provide our clients with new technology streamlining payroll and other workforce management processes.

Ellen enjoys living in Florida’s Treasure Coast with her husband, Pete, two cats, two rabbits, and a horse! Her adventures have led to open a retail store, Horse Cents Tack Shop located in Palm City for one-stop-shopping equine supplies.

Diversified Financial Solutions is located in Port Saint Lucie and has the ability to provide our clients products and services nationally with the personal service of a local office. With life’s many surprises, my career passion has never changed. We love helping people and businesses, start-ups and long-standing business owners, become successful. It’s what we do.
